I originally wrote The Broken Cup as a therapeutic book for children that have experienced any type of trauma. However, to my amazement, this book has a special way of reaching and speaking to all children.
The Broken Cup will plant deep seeds of hope, faith and truth. No matter how old we are, how big we are or what we've been through, Jesus never leaves us and is always there to turn our broken pieces into something beautiful. His love reaches into any circumstance and mends every place that is hurting.
A little about me- I am 37 years old and have overcome a past of trauma, abuse, sex trafficking, teen homelessness, and addiction. After almost taking my own life 2012, God had another plan. Through a series of miracles, I ended up giving my life to the Lord. Today I am a married mother of two, writer, public speaker and nonprofit founder/ advocate that works with, hands on, those most hurting in my community.
I had the humbling and amazing opportunity to share my testimony on the 700 Club last August. I copied the link at the bottom of this email. Sometimes, I’ll imagine for just a moment, myself as a young girl. At such a young age going through terrible things so much bigger than me, I imagine that somehow, I had heard a little story about a cup that felt broken too, even scared and lost... I wonder how much that would have changed my perspective. I would always know, deep down somewhere, that Jesus loved me and that I was so valuable, even if not a single person ever told me… that seed would be there.
Thank you and God bless you!
